Maine Firefighters & Forest Rangers Fly to Montana to Help Battle Wildfires
According to the Bangor Daily News, the Maine Forest Service sent a 20-person crew out to Montana to help fight the ongoing forest fires in Big Sky Country, which have been raging for more than two weeks.
Ranger Mike Daigle of Fort Kent is leading the team, and they flew to Billings, Montana, early on Wednesday morning to get to work. The Maine Forest Service estimates that they will be out west for about two weeks. Good to know we're sending some help out to our friends in Montana!
