Friday night, George H. W. Bush, the forty-first president of the United States and seasonal Mainer, died at the age of 94. George and his son, George W. Bush, both presidents, have spent summers in Maine with their families for decades.

The Bushes own a compound on Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, and their summer home as been a backdrop for international summits, a focal point for national news, and a place for family celebrations. Here are a few of the photos from their time in southern Maine over the years:
