One returned with new owners after looking like it was closed for good in 2025. Another spot rebranded with a fresh new spin. And then you had new cafes, pizza places, and an additional food court option at the Maine Mall.

Once again, it's great to see such a variety of flavors and menus debut across the state. And it further establishes Maine as a foodie hub that delivers on options and deliciousness.

Sometimes it's easy to forget about the Maine Mall's food options in South Portland, but honestly, there have been some new spots you might want to check out.

MainelyMe Cafe popped up last year, and now Aromas of India has joined the food court club. That makes for 12 places just in the mall for a spot to grab a bite to eat.

And if you're thinking a new pub for wings and pizza sounds nice, Playmakers in Portland might fit your bill. According to Portland Food Map, this new spot can seat around 100 and has a room for events.
