Oakhurst Dairy has been a part of Maine since 1918, which just so happens to be the year the Boston Red Sox won the World Series. We waited another 95 years before they won again and Oakhurst was there the whole time, right in Portland, Maine.

Oakhurst Dairy has always given back to its community all these years too, and this year, they have come up with another great way to help out programs in Maine.

Oakhurst has announced a new grant program dedicated to helping teachers, counselors, and community group leaders fund activities that support the values of Kindness, Goodness, and Maineness. Oakhurst's slogan for decades has been "The Natural Goodness of Maine," so this is right up their alley.

“At Oakhurst, we don’t just care about milk. We care about the power of Kindness. We care about delivering Goodness. We care about celebrating Maineness,” said Mark Page, General Manager of Oakhurst. “Maine is more than a state. It’s kindness and goodness all wrapped up in the mindset of the people who live and work here. With this new grant program, we hope to inspire our schools and communities to activate these values we believe in as a company so that we can build a stronger community and healthier world together.”

Each quarter, Oakhurst will give away a total of $2,500 in the form of grants. Depending on the number of grant applications, the $2,500 may be distributed between more than one group.

If you'd like to apply for one of these grants, Oakhurst is now accepting applications with a first-round grant deadline of February 28, 2023.
