While the number of people who are laid off or furloughed for the foreseeable future has grown, many grocery stores are looking to hire, as people have been inundating them since the virus has hit U.S. soil.

Between Shaw's and Hannaford, there are plans to hire hundreds of workers to help keep order and stocking shelves, keeping the goods coming to meet the demand, according to the Bangor Daily News.

The newspaper added that national chains like Walmart are looking at hiring an additional 150,000 nationwide to meet their needs for business and customer care.

So if you are looking for a job, these stores are looking to hire.
