Move Over, Christmas in July! ‘Halloween in July’ Coming to New Hampshire

Some of the biggest events that seem to have taken off in the last decade or so throughout New England are comic conventions -- better known as comic cons.

If you've never been, these cons are a gathering of various celebrities -- actors, artists, professional wrestlers, and anyone in between -- set up in vendor booths to give attendees the opportunity to meet some of their favorites.

The scene as grown, with various cons like Boston Comic Con, Rhode Island Comic Con, Granite State Comic Con, and more popping up throughout the years.

While many are familiar with the term 'Christmas in July,' summer will take a bit of a scary turn for horror fans Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, in Nashua, New Hampshire, when MonstahXPo "takes New Hampshire" and brings a 'Halloween in July' feel to the Granite State.

Deemed as "a horror-themed pop culture exposition with curated artists, creators, movie makers, vendors, and special celebrity guests," MonstahXPo will take place at the Sheraton Nashua from 11a-5p that Saturday, and 10a-4p that Sunday.

A common theme of the MonstahXPo will be reuniting some stars of the '80s horror flick Fright Night, with guests including Amanda Bearse (who you may know better as Marcy from the sitcom Married... with Children), William Ragsdale, Stephen Geoffreys, and Dorothy Fielding (who we in New England may know better from the movie hit movie Jaws.)

Also attending the expo is Linden Porco, who played the role of Chucky in Cult of Chucky as well as the Leprechaun in Leprechaun Returns.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite horror cosplay and other vendors will be on-site as well, including artists, designers, culinary masters, and business owners that specialize in all things horror and scary.
