The Pole was replaced just over a month ago

At the beginning of June, footage dropped around the interwebs of something Mainers never thought they'd see -- the removal of the infamous pole in the parking lot of the Auburn Walmart.

Of course, we found out quickly after that the pole wasn't being removed for good (although at first, we assumed everyone finally got sick of the pole being hit so they just decided to ditch it). Instead, the pole was replaced with an even thinner pole which also saw a stop sign attached to the top.

You'd think that maybe, just maybe, with the presence of the stop sign now attached to an even thinner pole (which you'd think would make it harder to hit since it would take up less real estate in the lot), the days of the pole being hit were gone.

Actually, let's be real. No one really thought that. That pole is cursed and it doesn't matter how often it's replaced or how thin you make it, somehow people will still find a way to hit it. And after what seems like it's been a month of silence, the curse is back.

Yesterday, the above picture was blasted all over the Maine Reddit page for all to see, crimson remnants of a shattered brake light and all. And sure, "it'll buff out" and the light will be replaced on that mystery vehicle, but other than putting that pole inside of a bubble (that would somehow still find a way to be popped and create destruction for all incoming Maine vehicles), what else can be done to prevent this from happening?

Because honestly, it's started happening so often that I'm convinced the Auburn Walmart parking lot pole is truly a gate to the Upside Down from Stranger Things, and Vecna gains strength every single time a car hits the pole. It's just a matter of time...

There's a yellow pole in the Auburn, Maine Walmart parking lot that gets hit by drivers on a regular basis.

And if that pole really is a gate to the Upside Down, here are 9 Maine 'Stranger Things' monsters to watch out for

They'd be a mixture of Maine myths and corrupted/cursed Maine staples.
