New England Man’s Secret to Getting Every McDonald’s Halloween Collectible
McDonald's Halloween Collectibles
Yesterday (Tuesday, October 18, 2022), McDonald's gave 80s and 90s kids (as well as the new generation of kids) the best dose of nostalgia ever. For the first time in a couple of decades (I think -- I mean, I haven't seen or heard of this happening since I was a kid), McDonald's brought back their Halloween Happy Meal collectibles.
Much like back in the day, there are three different versions of the Happy Meal collectible buckets/pails -- a white one that's modeled after a ghost, an orange one that's presented as a pumpkin, and a green one that's given the appearance of a witch.
I know for a fact when I was kid, I ended up getting at least the green witch bucket, because I have a vivid memory of constantly using the top (which has a triangular/cone-like top to reference a witch's hat) to spin on my finger.
(I was an only child until 22. I had to entertain myself somehow. Shut up and stop judging me.)
McDonald's Ghost Halloween Collectible
Based on all of the social media posts since 10:30a yesterday morning (literally 10:30a. McDonald's refused to give any out one minute before 10:30a yesterday), it seems like the first round of Halloween Happy Meal collectibles that Mickey D's is rolling out is their white ghost pails.
BUT. Massachusetts comedian Larry Soares may have gotten an expert tip from a McDonald's employee yesterday on exactly how to score the pumpkin and the witch as well.
In a video he posted to his Facebook page, while on the hunt for trying to get all three Halloween Happy Meal collectibles, Larry hit three different McDonald's in Massachusetts before finally calling an employee out, and got a pretty sweep tip in return.
He goes, 'We have four cases of the ghost ones right now. Once we get through all those, we'll move onto the next ones.'
Which made Larry think that the Mickey D's he was at actually has every single Halloween Happy Meal collectible in-house already, but the employee denied it, instead telling him that they rely on shipments twice a week. (But let's be real, with all the hype before the release has gotten, there's no way locations don't have all three collectibles in-house ready to go.)
So, it's a real simple tip/secret, but if you're looking to try and collect all three Halloween Happy Meal collectibles, just make sure you pop by on Wednesdays and Saturdays (or whatever day shipments come for the McDonald's closest to you), ask which collectibles they're dishing out, and eventually you'll get all three!
By the way, can we talk about how this has literally taken over the country in popularity? I mean, grown adults are actually doing REVIEW VIDEOS on these. THEY'RE HALLOWEEN PAILS TO TRICK OR TREAT WITH -- WHAT IS THERE TO REVIEW?
