People driving in Oxford may have noted a fresh coat of paint on an old ice cream stand that has been vacant a few years.

Konehead Ice Cream stand, with its upside down ice cream cone on its roof, had been at the Oxford Plaza back when Ames and Shop 'n Save were still around. Like many of the businesses at the shopping plaza, they ended up closing. But a fresh coat of red paint has been put on the old barn-looking stand and a new sign went up signaling the grand opening of Ricky Dee's Ice Cream.

There's no word yet on an opening date or what type of ice cream will be offered, but look soon for another ice cream shop to add to the Oxford Hills along with Norway Soft Serve and The Inside Scoop, both in South Paris.

So we can only assume the owner is named Rick Dees. It's certainly not the legendary radio personality from KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, host of the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, and the man who recorded the top 40 song 'Disco Duck' in 1976. Or is it?

Oh you've never heard of Disco Duck? You can't un-see this.

Wow I'm old.
