Noble Barbecue Adds Pizza to New Portland, Maine Location
Nobel Barbecue opened on Forest Avenue in Portland in 2017, but they've moved and grown!
The original Nobel Barbecue which closed nearly a month ago was a small neighborhood restaurant with great barbecue.
Welcome the new Noble Pizzeria and Barbecue - OPEN TODAY!
Now the owner Ryan Carey is opening today, Friday, November 15 as Noble Pizzeria & Barbecue! The new restaurant as the Portland Press Herald points out, is much bigger. The Forest Avenue location was only 1,500 square feet with 18 seats, while the Stevens Avenue place is 4,000 square feet, with 88 seats inside and patio seating for more than 30.
Why move Noble to Deering Center in Portland?
He told the Press Herald,
We really wanted to move to a larger location and develop the menu so it has a little more mass appeal and fits the neighborhood’s needs. I bought the building in April, and a big part of that is because of the neighborhood.

Developing the menu meant adding pizza. Don't worry, they'll still have all the foods that you love like the smoked meats by the pound, their insane barbecue sandwiches, and the sides that make you go to the gym more regularly: pimiento mac & cheese, hand-cut french fries, and grilled corn muffins. But now they've got the all-pleasing pizza! Thin and crispy pizzas that include their specialties and build-your-own options.
Ryan isn't new to pizza. He's been making pizza since 2011 and specializes in wood-fired pizza. Get ready Ryan - the neighborhood is going to love the new addition!
