It's been a busy few weeks for amusement parks throughout New England announcing their opening dates and that guests can expect when they visit. Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach joined the party on Monday, announcing on Facebook that they will officially open the park over Memorial Day weekend.

Will All The Rides Be Open At Palace Playland In 2021?

While Palace Playland didn't clarify this through their Facebook page, it does appear the park plans to operate under similar circumstances to years past. (not 2020) If you're a frequent visitor, you know that not all rides at Palace Playland are always open immediately. Between assembling a seasonal staff and the unpredictable end-of-spring Maine weather, Palace Playland will likely open as many of their 28 rides as they can over Memorial Day weekend. Palace Playland plans to have rides operational on weekends only through June 18th until they fully open 7 days per week for the season.

Will I Have To Wear A Mask When At Palace Playland?

Just like Aquaboggan and Funtown/Splashtown USA, Palace Playland will have to follow the same amusement park rules that others are staring at as well. There is likely to be distancing measures put into place for rides that garner longer lines and guests will likely be asked to wear masks on premises. It's possible as the summer moves along that restrictions are loosened or lifted. Stay tuned.

Will The Hours of Operation Be Different In 2021?

2020 was a frustrating year for everyone and as of now, Palace Playland is hopeful to operate with the same hours as prior years. They plan on updating their hours of operation for the full season before fully opening.
