For the past four years, a group of women dubbing themselves "The Scarf Mob" have been leaving scarves, hats, gloves, mittens, and winter footwear for anyone that needs it in Deering Oaks Park.

Once the Scarf Mob strikes, scarves are tied to posts, boots left on park benches and hats are hanging from trees. Each contains a note reading "I'm not lost. If you are cold and need me, I'm yours to keep you warm." The entire park becomes a free winter weather clothing stop in an effort to help out those who are less fortunate and need some winter clothing.

After collecting for several weeks for this season, the Scarf Mob hit Deering Oaks on Sunday and left about 450 winter clothing items in the park.

There's no doubt the Scarf Mob will be back again next year to help someone be a little warmer next winter.
