Q Court: ‘Jane’ Doesn’t Want to be Facebook Friends with Daughter’s Teacher [POLL]

With school just starting, 'Jane' thought it was odd to get a Facebook friend request from the teacher of her 9 year old daughter. She's not sure what to do with that one.

'Jane' thought it was a very awkward request. Here's her letter:

Hi Q Court. I met my daughter's teacher before school started....like everyone else in the world, and she was very nice. I really liked her, I've heard good things about her and I'm happy for my daughter.

But the next day, I got a Facebook friend request from her. Uh, this is weird to me. First of all, I don't think I want to be Facebook friends with my kids teacher, because if there is a picture of me at a party or a BBQ drinking a beer...will she think I'm a lush?

Not that I am, but I just think it crosses the line. I just met the woman - we aren't friends really...she's my daughter's teacher. My friends mostly agree, my husband could care less. He hates Facebook. So - I thought that Q Court could settle the mess!
