It's back! If your kiddo likes fishing and prizes, have we got a Saturday for them!

The Scarborough Kiwanis Club is hosting the 34th (last year was canceled along with everything else) Kids Fishing Derby Saturday, September 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Bayley's Camping Resort. (enter on Ross Road off Pine Point Road)

It's free for kids ages 4-15 with two different ponds for trout (catch & keep) and bass (catch & release). Oh yes, there will be prizes awarded based on age. So stick around, because you have to be present to win!

All kids need to have an adult with them, and you are encouraged to help stock the food pantry in Scarborough with a non-perishable canned food donation. Speaking of food, you know your little ones will blow through the snacks you packed on your way TO the fishing derby. Fear not, snacks and beverages will be available to buy. There are even FREE T-SHIRTS for the kids 4-15 (while supplies last).

This is live bait only, and worms will also be there to buy!

The only thing you need to bring is your lucky fishing pole! And some very excited kids!

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
