This cool and exciting news hit Flannigan Farm's social media earlier this month to a resounding positive reaction.

Located right on Route 202 in Buxton, The Barn at Flannigan Farm is a beautiful year-round event space that caters to weddings and other private events. It sits on an amazing 66 acres of land that includes the 19th Century property, orchard, pasture, immense firepit, and ice skating rink.

According to the post, the rink will be used for many upcoming ticketed events, something that is new to the venue.

It's all part of the Flannigan Farm Supper Club, which combines the power of the farm with the giants from Big Tree Catering. These are the folks behind some of Portland's finest restaurants, like Eventide Oyster Company and The Honey Paw.

The ticket gets you in to experience the entire Flannigan Farms experience. Guests will enjoy skating, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, all while enjoying some very upscale libations and snacks from the Big Tree Catering folks.

I can't tell you how exciting this is for, well, me. As a proud Buxton resident and lover of outdoor activities, I imagine I will be looking into getting some tickets for these upcoming events. Who wouldn't love to spend a few hours enjoying Maine's beautiful winter weather while sipping and snacking?

The next event will be on February 7. General admission is just $5, and just $10 if you plan to skate. You can purchase tickets and get more information here.
