Dream Factory of Maine is an all-volunteer organization that grants dreams to critically and chronically ill children between the ages of 3 - 18. One-hundred percent of all the money raised is used to grant the dreams to children right here in Maine.

6-year-old Lauren, from Manchester, suffers from more illnesses and syndromes than we can list, and just wanted to be a princess for a day. Her dream came true when The Dream Factory of Maine flew Lauren and her family to Walt Disney World, where she met all the princesses and spent a day being transformed.

Her cousin, Brian Dumoulin, from Biddeford, plays for the NHL team, Pittsburgh Penguins. He and his family were so moved by how this dream brought a sparkle to Lauren's life, they are working with the Dream Factory to raise money for more dreams, like Lauren's, with the 1st annual SKATE FOR DREAMS with BRIAN DUMOULIN.

Brian will skate with all skaters on the ice for Open Skate and will develop and work with hockey players in specialized clinics. All money collected on June 16th will be going to fund more dreams for the Dream Factory of Maine.

It's on Saturday, June 16th - rain or shine - at the University of New England Ice Arena in Biddeford. There are things to do all day starting at 11:15 am and ending with closing ceremonies at 5:15 pm. We hope you bring the whole family, grab lunch at UNE snack shack, hang out in the rink and bid on our amazing auction items.
