It's a super fun change, and you'll have to wait until 2022 to catch it!

If you've ever been to Funtown Splashtown USA in Saco, then of course you've been on the Thunderbolt ride. Part of the fun is that blaring blasting music as you go spinning around forward AND backward!

After having a tough year in 2020, they were back open in 2021. The pandemic still caused problems, mostly with employment issues, but they were open and people had tons of fun. Including me! I rode the Astrosphere for the very first time! It was a hoot and not as scary as I had made it to seem in my brain.

But passing by the Thunderbolt, I noticed a sign for the music and wondered if that could be changed.

Coooooooool! Thanks to Ed at Full Court Press and Jelena from Funtown - that cranking, pumping, heart throbbing music is now brought to you by Q97.9!

Oh sure, I was a little late getting them the sign - just in time for them to close, but next year! Be sure to hop on the Thunderbolt and all the fun at Funtown. You might even want to secure your 2022 season pass right now! Now...I just have to get over my fear of the Thunderbolt! Loved it in my youth...but now? Maybe that's my 2022 challenge!
