This Box Contains an Amazing Custom Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup That My Girlfriend Designed
I took a recent trip to Pennsylvania to visit friends and go to a pinball show for the day. My girlfriend Michele came with me even though she had no interest in pinball, because she can't resist a chance to see a place she's never been.
While we pinballed, she drove around Hershey, Pennsylvania which is just outside of Harrisburg, and home to The Hershey Company which owns just about every candy you can imagine.
The town was built in 1903 by Hershey as a place for their workers and families to live and today it is a tourist destination with Hersheypark, a chocolate-themed amusement park with 13 rollercoasters and a water park with 16 water rides.
While we were there, we stopped at Hershey Park, but didn't have time to explore the actual amusement park. It was closed at the time we were there anyway, but Hershey Chocolate town was open which is about the closest thing you'll get to walking into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
It's a store selling every candy imaginable that is owned by Hershey's as well as gifts and toys based on their best-selling candies. There's also a free ride similar to "It's a Small World" but all about how their chocolate is made.
But there was one thing that caught Michele's attention immediately.
This is Reese's Stuff Your Cup, where you have your own monster-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cup that is put together using four ingredients you choose: Reese's Puffs Cereal, Resse's Pieces, mini marshmallows, Hershey-Ets, Oreo Cookie pieces, chopped brownies, Hershey's Mini Kisses, Hershey's Sea Salt Caramel Baking Chips, Hershey's Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate, rainbow sprinkles, pretzels, bacon bits, and potato chips.
Then your four ingredients are folded in with Resse's peanut butter by the professionals.
Next, you get to choose two of three things to drizzle on top of all of this goodness: Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, Special Dark Hot Fudge and Caramel Syrup.
A giant semi-sweet chocolate lid is put on top of it.
And then you have a giant, custom, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! Only $19.99. That's a steal if you ask me.
I'd like to say that this lasted for a while, but it was gone within a day.
If you ever find yourself at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, make sure you take some time to "Stuff Your Cup."
