You Can Dunk Lou Into A Tank of Water This Friday!

That's right. This Friday, Avita of Stroudwater in Westbrook is throwing an open-to-the-public Longest Day Block Party to celebrate the beginning of summer and show us all a good time while raising money for the Alzheimer's Association! They'll have a BBQ, face painting, a bounce house, Beal's Ice Cream truck and me in a dunk tank from 5-6pm!

Avita is 70-bed memory care community that welcomes people living with dementia, Alzheimer's and other memory impairment into their new way of life. They have programs specially designed for each resident's stage to help them adapt to a new way of living, while staying active and participating in their surrounding community through outings and adventures. A memory impairment diagnosis does not mean the end to an enjoyable life; it just means living in a new way.

All proceeds from the event will go to support the Longest Day Fundraiser organized by the Alzheimer's Association.

Be sure to bring cash so you can donate and participate in all of the awesome activities Avita will be offering... like me, sitting on a platform, waiting to plunge into a tank of cold water. Who wouldn't want to see that?
