Recycled Percussion Coming to Aura in Portland, Maine

When the Laconia, New Hampshire-based band Recycled Percussion first appeared on America's Got Talent on NBC in 2009, they made a big splash with their unique style of music that never had any singing. Now they are returning home to New England for a performance at Aura in Portland, Maine.

In case you aren't aware of what Recycled Percussion does, it's amazing. They don't use traditional instruments. They use everything from buckets to homemade instruments that they make out of just about anything that will make a noise. From blenders, to shopping carts and step ladders, there is nothing they won't try, including playing upside down while suspended above the stage.

After America's Got Talent, they started performing in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood, then for a month at the MGM Grand Foxwoods in Connecticut. They signed a deal in 2010 with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to have their own show.

To this date, they have performed in all 50 states, and over 35 countries.

They never forget their roots though, and are coming back to where it all began in New England.

Recycled Percussion will be performing at Aura on Center Street in Portland on February 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available, but they're going to sell fast.
