At Whittier Middle School, they believe students are at their best when they have a chance to be active.  Building movement into the school day has a positive impact on students’ behavior, confidence, focus and preparedness to learn.

This is the 4th year for the Tri-Town Family 5K. It was created to celebrate Bruce M. Whittier Middle School's Couch-to-5K program in the fall of 2012.  Originally named the Whittier Family 5K, the first race was a great success with 236 people finishing the run/walk event. This year they are expecting 350 runners and maybe more!
