7 Hallmark Christmas Movies Set in Maine to Get You in the Holiday Spirit

I absolutely adore Maine in the wintertime, amongst unpopular opinion. Or maybe most other people take a liking to our state as well, considering it's absolutely gorgeous during the holiday season.

It's gorgeous in earthy, scenic ways, but it's also gorgeous when the people of Maine hand-decorate their towns for the holiday season. Year after year, we never fail to bring the magic of Christmas to life by creating holiday-themed events and spreading cheer throughout each city.

Personally, I just got back from a town called Kennebunkport for their last weekend of their annual Christmas Prelude event. I can't even describe to you how beautiful it down there right now. Kennebunk even got an honorable mention in this article, titled "Small Maine Town Named Hallmark Christmas Town Best in State".

There was an event called Fire & Ice at the Nonantum Resort, and if the Christmas Prelude hadn't ended last weekend, I'd tell you it's an absolute must-see this weekend. However, I guess there's always next year if you can remember this, hehe.

Boothbay, Maine, was almost mentioned on a list of the 12 Best Christmas Towns in Maine, according to visitmaine.net. So it comes as no surprise that these seven Christmas movies on Hallmark were set in Maine.
