An Aaron Hernandez series debuts in January, but will it change the opinion of Patriots fans?

There are already a small number of documentaries on former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez, but many are pointing to an upcoming series on Netflix as the one which could change public opinion.

The Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez will debut on the service Jan. 15, 2020, and focus on Hernandez's life as an NFL star-turned-killer, according to Sports Illustrated.

The trailer was released on Twitter last week and contains "From the studio that brought you Making a Murderer and Evil Genius, witness the rise and fall of the infamous athlete Aaron Hernandez. How can someone who had everything throw it all away?"

Hernandez was diagnosed after his death with chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a brain disease that has afflicted some high-profile football players and causes behavioral and mood problems.

Hernandez died of suicide in his prison cell back in 2017 at the age of 27. He had been convicted of one murder but acquitted of two others.
