Why was there a swarm of crows in Lewiston, Maine?

Colton Jackson caught a swarm of crows flying around lower Goff Hill. Of course, it doesn't help the crow's image that when a bunch of them get together, they are referred to as a murder.

Well, sorry Lewiston, but there's not a lot of reasoning as to why the town seems to be the popular crow-gathering place these days. According to some experts, it could just be to chat with one another about things like where food is.  WGME did a story about how crows swarm around the Franklin Athletic Complex field and cause not just annoyance, but damage!

If crows weren't so loud, it would be a whole lot easier to put up with them. I mean, they are kind of fascinating.

Last year, the Bangor Daily News' Deputy Opinion Editor Matt Junker and friend Alex Cole videoed at least hundreds (maybe thousands) of crows near Oak Street in Bangor, Maine. This was in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, January 2, 2023.

The good news is that this is not the plot of a horror movie. The bad news is that it might as well be the plot of a horror movie.
