After Noticing This About My Hot Dog I May Never Eat One Again
We had some left over hot dogs in the fridge after a night of beans and hot dogs for dinner, so I decide to make a few for lunch today. When they were done, I thought twice about eating them.
The way I make hot dogs quick and easy is they way I learned it when we got our very first microwave in 1982. It came with a cookbook of things you could make in it including hot dogs.
You take a hot dog, red one of course because we live in Maine, and you put in the roll. Frankfurter roll not hot dog bun. More bread, less crust. Then you wrap it in a paper towel and put it in the microwave for 50 seconds. It comes out perfectly heated and the roll is steamed. It's not as good as on the grill, but when the snow is still on the ground it does the trick.
So that's how I made my hot dogs for lunch. I made two. The first one looked fine, but when I unwrapped the second one this is what I saw.
I couldn't unsee it. If you don't see it, show it to a few people. Someone will know what it looks like.
I didn't know how I felt about eating that.
For the record, yes, I ate it. I'm not wasting a good hot dog but man I wish that grill was up and running.
