Will Smoked BBQ & Neighborhood Pub in Windham Have Epic Maine Political Signs Like Binga’s Did?
Short answer? Probably.
Smoked BBQ & Neighborhood Pub in Windham, Maine
It was just a couple of weeks ago that the announcement of Binga's in Windham, Maine, transforming into Smoked BBQ & Neighborhood Pub came as a bit of shock to Mainers. Thankfully, it seems as though not much will change other than the name and an extended menu offering.
Binga's Famous Signs
For years, Binga's seemed to pride itself on having the best business signs in not just Windham, not just Maine, not just New England, but the entire country. Where most businesses will use their signs to plug special deals or hours of operation, Binga's went 10 steps above.
Sure, they'd plug their business, but in a comical way. For example -- did you know you can't buy happiness, but you sure as hell were able to buy Binga's wings and wash them down with tequila?
Then there's the fact that Binga's also decided to tell it like it was on their signs and say what we all thought when it came to meetings at work.
Of course, every now and then they'd bust out a serious and heartfelt sign in between all the sarcasm.
But a sign they once had posted up that slightly involves politics may be one of their most epic and hilarious ever. It compared Maine Governor Janet Mills and one of the more captivating and controversial "stars" of the Netflix hit series from a couple of years ago, Tiger King.
Janet Mills and Carole Baskin
In a slightly political sign from a couple years back, Binga's suggested that Governor Mills and Carole Baskin may, in fact, actually be the same human being.
And honestly, when you match them up side-by-side...
...add hair to Janet or chop some of Carole's off, and they're not far off from looking identical.
With 2024 around the corner and looking to be a wild political year, and the ownership and staff of Wicked BBQ & Neighborhood Pub relatively staying the same as the old Binga's (except for one owner,) here's hoping we get hilarious, sarcastic signs to help us save the political drain that's headed our way.
(If their first sign under the Smoked name is any indication, we'll be just fine.)
