"You can watch these things on TV and hear about it on the radio, but actually making even a little bit of a difference is fulfilling," Glenn Adams said. Then his wife Betty added, "We survived the Ice Storm of '98 without power for about 15 days in the winter in Maine, so it'll be totally different, but we know how it is," The adventurous couple told CBS 13.

Betty and Glen are just a part of the massive 1300 volunteer force that the Red Cross has on the ground and virtually to help with recovery efforts from last week's storm. They will arrive in Louisiana tomorrow at three, and they are stationed to be deployed for two weeks helping the people of Lake Charles recover.
