I love a good female owned business so it was cool to find out that this cute little shop in the old port is completely female run.

Bobbles & Lace is one of those shops I'd consistently drive past on a daily basis and say to myself "one day I'll get in there" (we all know that feeling).

Well, I finally made it in there and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Look at this:

Bobbles and Lace Portland, Maine

It's a boutique that looks, feels, and is run so intimately with their customers. I've been in there a few times now for certain event outfits and I've always been given the utmost attention and respect.

Also their shoe corner always feels like it's re-stocked every 5 minutes:

As a wicked girls girl, this is the most attractive thing about the entire store; kindness.

Bobbles and Lace Locations

This is something I didn't know until I did more research but Bobbles & Lace actually has 23 locations spread across the country. It starts in the old port for us but doesn't end until California for many others.

The cool thing is that according to bobblesandlace.com, the brand started in Marblehead, MA back in 2008 and has done so well that it's now both corporate and a franchise.

Who owns Bobbles and Lace Boutique?

Bobbles & Lace was founded by Lindsay Rando and her aunt, Valerie, after Lindsay returned to New England, according to their website.
"Her aunt has long retired, but Lindsay kept running with the Bobbles & Lace concept, expanding to eight locations across the Northeast, ranging from Portland, Maine to Westport, Connecticut" - Bobbles & Lace
