Have You Visited the New Salon and Boutique in Portland?

Every day for the last month on my way to the YMCA, I've glanced in the windows of a beautiful old brick building on the corner. It was clear they were renovating the inside and I was curious what was going to move in.

Then one day, a new sign was hanging outside: "Balayage Portland, It's a Vibe Boutique". Excited and confused, I looked up "balayage" when I got home. If you're equally ignorant of all things hair, here's the definition for free:

Balayage (n): a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect.

The combined salon and boutique opened a few week ago now on the corner of Cumberland Ave and Forest Ave. and the mannequins are wearing a different outfit every day!

Their Instagram feed keeps updating with gorgeous photos of freshly done hair and new items for sale in the boutique.
