After over a year of being closed and much speculation over the fate of the Fore Street staple, Bull Feeney's will be reopening in the coming months.

Like many establishments, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to shut down in mid-March of 2020 just ahead of St. Patrick's Day.

Bull Feeney's reopened in August of 2020 with COVID safety protocols in place such as socially distanced seating and limited hours of operation. By the end of the month, it was clear that things weren't working out with a Facebook post on August 22, 2020 stating,

We reopened. In some ways, it went well, but in some ways, it didn't... So now we're regrouping, creating a better system to ensure you and our staff are safe, and we don't contribute to the spread of this deadly disease.

Since then, there has been a noticeable silence from the restaurant. And while many other establishments eventually came back with in-person, maskless dining, and live entertainment, Bull Feeney's remained closed.

Portland Old Port reports that after being closed for so long they will need to do some work before being ready to open to the public in upcoming months. The official reopen date has yet to be determined.
