Trejyn Fletcher from Deering High School has a decision - play baseball for Major League Baseball or play for Vanderbilt on a scholarship.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Deering High senior Trejyn Fletcher was picked by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of Major League Baseball’s amateur draft. He was the 58th player drafted overall. He could be looking at a $1.2 million signing bonus.

This is the highest draft of any Mainier since Ryan Flaherty, another Deering High School graduate, back in 2008.

But Fletcher was supposed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt University. They are the second highest ranked team in the country. He's got until mid August to figure out what he'll do.

How good is this kid? When he was 13 years old, he went to a home run derby contest at Marlins park in Miami. He hit a 401 foot homer! He was 13!!

He's now 18-years-old.

Congratulations Trejyn! Good luck with whatever you decide!
