According to the Maine CDC on Monday, there are now 275 confirmed cases and three deaths in the state of Maine from the coronavirus.
Forty-one people who have tested positive have fully recovered, and forty-three are healthcare workers who have been exposed to the virus during the treatment of patients.
Dr. Nirav Shah from The Maine CDC did mention during Monday's conference that the state has enough testing supply for 2,000 people and that the state has not received what they have asked for as far as PPE and equipment to treat the pandemic.
The CDC is offering these steps to protect yourself:
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces used often every day.
