This is one of those stories that's so crazy, it's almost hard to believe. But it happened, and it was right here in New England.

According to WCVB-TV, a 200 pound deer that was struck by another vehicle was launched through a school bus windshield, and into the lap of the driver. The incident happened last week in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, which is in the southern part of the state.

The driver, Mark Jardin, had to think and act quickly, to protect the children who were riding on the bus. The deer was still alive, and understandably upset. Jardin wrestled the deer by the antlers, and rushed all 34 kids off the bus.

I don't even want to think about what could've happened if the driven hadn't restrained the deer, and it had run loose down the aisle and into the seats.

Luckily, Jardin only received minor injuries. Other than one child who had minor cuts from the broken glass, the children were miraculously unharmed.

What a terrifying incident! They are all so lucky that no one was seriously harmed.
