This Saturday at 6:30pm, Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex in
Gray will host the 10th Anniversary “Dance for Autism” performance to support
the Autism Society of Maine. The show will include nearly 300 dancers from throughout
the state and will be held at the Westbrook Performing Arts Center. With
the help of the dance community, Pulse Dance Company has donated over $15,000 to
the Society from their annual showcase.

The audience will enjoy performances in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and modern
dance forms. Pulse dancers have created the event as a collaboration of area
performing groups.

The studio committed to this annual cause due to the rising rates of autism
which now occurs in approximately 1 out of every 68 births. The Autism Society of
Maine relies on donations to cover the cost of running programs and activities that bring
awareness and community to individuals and families dealing with Autism Spectrum
Disorders. Each year the ASM holds a summer camp program for children ages 5-15
with Autism Spectrum Disorders and this is just one of the many programs the donation
helps to fund.

Advanced price of $12 Tickets at the Door will be $16 . Proceeds from the evening
show benefit the Autism Society of Maine.
