Fundraiser Started For South Paris Family Who Lost Home and Child in Fire
We were all heartbroken to hear of the fire in South Paris that destroyed a family's home and claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy. So much loss that no one should have to bear.
It really resonated with me having grown up on the street where the fire occurred. Seeing photos of Paris fire trucks lined up and down Nichols Street, along with departments from many of the neighboring towns, makes my heart sink. To learn that a young child was lost just makes it unbearably tragic. I cannot imagine what this family is going through.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s two doors up from this house on the other side of the street and have so many great memories of this neighborhood. All the families knew each other and all the kids played together, so I spent many summer days at this house with my childhood friends.
This has been at the top of my mind since hearing the news on Tuesday afternoon and I've felt the need to help. So I made a donation to the Facebook fundraiser for the family. Cash donations are accepted as well as clothing donations. If you can help out tap the button below.
