Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME) announces that it will host Passion to Action, a civic engagement event, on Friday, June 15 from 8-11:30 a.m. at the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

Passion to Action will be moderated by WGME’s Jennifer Long, and will feature a panel of speakers: U.S. Senator Angus King, Emily Cain, Executive Director of EMILY’S List, and Meredith Strang Burgess, President and Chief Executive Officer of Burgess Advertising.

These three prominent Mainers will share their personal stories on why they became involved in public service and what motivated them to do so. They will also answer questions from the audience.

 

Passion to Action is open to the public.

 

Passion to Action will take place on Friday, June 15 at Hannaford Hall at University of Southern Maine in Portland. Doors open at 8. Cost is free. (suggested $10 donation). Light refreshments will be provided from 8-9 a.m.; program from 9-11:30.
