Ancient Egypt has always been fascinating, Kings, Pharaohs, pyramids, tombs, and so much more.

I know I am not the only one that is intrigued and interested in the history of Egypt, people have been studying it for years and it seems that there is always something new to learn about.

Steve Martin even wrote and performed a "funky" song about King Tut, which also made an appearance on Saturday Night Live back in 1978.

I remember doing school projects on King Tut and the pyramids and always wanted to visit Egypt. Unfortunately, my passport is expired, but there's still a way that I can visit and be immersed in all Egypt had and has to offer.

According to WCVB, to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the discovery of King Tut's tomb, National Geographic is putting on an immersive exhibit that will tour North America. Luckily for us, this experience has its first stop in New England.

The first stop for National Geographic's "Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience," will be in Boston, MA, at the SoWa Power Station. According to WCVB, the exhibit will run from July 8th through September 18th.

This is not the first immersive experience that has come to Boston, last year, SoWa Power Station has also held the immersive "Imagine Van Gogh," so they know exactly what to do to make this experience perfect for anyone wanting to go back in time to ancient Egypt.

Luckily for us, according to WCVB, Boston is one of the few locations on the North America tour that will also feature a virtual reality experience called "Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb," along with the immersive exhibit.
