Here’s a Look At The New Maine Savings Pavilion at Rock Row
With the first concert at Rock Row in Westbrook set for May 26, people have been wondering as they look at the construction site if the new concert venue would be ready. A new drone video from Sky High Maine shows a view of the new Maine Savings Pavilion at Rock Row is getting close.
Waterfront Concerts has moved shows that had previously been held on the Maine State Pier to the new Maine Saving Pavilion at Rock Row for 2019. This is the first construction to take shape at the massive development on the former Blue Rock quarry in Westbrook, but as you drive by the site across from Kohl's, the pavilion is no where to be seen. Thanks to Sky High Maine, we now have our first look at the new concert venue with this video shot on May 18.
The first scheduled show is Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals on May 26 at 7:30 p.m. Construction crews have been working feverishly to complete the concert venue in time and it looks like they are making excellent progress, but might be working right up until the day of the show.
From what we can see, this looks like it will be a great place to see a show and only get better as the rest of the Rock Row development takes shape around it, including shops, apartments, restaurants and a movie theater.
If you plan on going to the first show, take Exit 47 of the Maine Turnpike and turn left onto Westbrook Arterial, then take a right onto Larrabee Road and follow signs for the on-site parking lots.
