This is one of the coolest events I've seen around town during the month of December. It's called Merry Madness, and it displays Christmas madness in the best way possible.

Have you ever heard of a shopping crawl? Well if you haven't, this one is all about relishing the holiday season by providing things like live music, local shopping vendors, and the best part, EGGNOG! Yes, it's spiked eggnog, as you have to be 21 or older to attend (sorry to drop that on you if you're not of age).

One of my favorite things about Maine around Christmastime is the fact that we love a good Santa-themed bar crawl. There's even a costume contest at this event, and yours truly gets to host it!

The crawl starts in a super historical location downtown – the U.S. Custom House right on Fore Street in downtown Portland. From there, you get to go frolic and find the activities that interest you. Though I will say, I did see on their Facebook page that you can watch a live ice sculpture demonstration, and that's exactly where you'll find me while I'm on the mic the whole time!
