If It’s Not Yellow, Is Snow Safe to Eat?
I can't tell you how amazingly delicious snow was to eat as a kid. But, is it safe to eat?
A scientist in Romania saw his kid eating snow, and he thought...is it safe? So, being a scientist, he did experiments to find out.
The study found that snow is safe to eat that is only half a day old. But by day two - oh...it's filled with tons of bacteria. Oh, and it's way better to eat it in the colder months, like January. In Maine, that's a lot of snow eating months.
I can just imagine this Romanian scientist allowing his kid a snow buffet in the first few hours of a snow storm, and whacking it out of their hand come day two.
I think I'll be doing the same!
