This summer in Maine was a brutal one as far as the humidity is concerned. Oppressive heat and humidity caused air conditioners to be sold out everywhere, electricity bill to be high and just gross feeling outside.

When fall arrived on Saturday, the weather changed on a dime. Cool, crisp and even some showers and rain. However, it's not over yet. According to News Center Maine Meteorologist Ryan Breton, we're in for a return of the humidity but it will be gone as quickly as it came.

Dew points will start to build through the day on Wednesday becoming oppressive by afternoon, but they will quickly drop back down in overnight Thursday. That's something we aren't used to!

Fun fact: If you ever wanted to measure the humidity in your home so you can see just how much you're going to sweat, you can use a hygrometer.
