Is Maine Really Getting Another Texas Roadhouse Location?

For years, the Texas Roadhouse chain has been known for its amazing ribs, great steaks, cold beer specials, and those mind-blowing fresh rolls with that cinnamon butter.

We are fortunate to have several locations here in Maine, including Augusta, Bangor, and Scarborough.

But, will we soon see another Texas Roadhouse location?

We're going to dive into that rumor now.

Texas Roadhouse Farmington, Maine

Earlier this week, a post circulating social media claimed that we were going to be getting an additional Texas Roadhouse location in Maine.

At first glance, the post looked mostly legit.  The only thing that was a little bit of a head scratcher was the rumored location.  No offense to the great college town of Farmington, but it did not make much sense for the chain to open a location in Farmington.

Of course, a closer inspection of the post made it pretty clear that it was not real.  I won't call it a "scam" because no one is getting taken advantage of.  It was more of a "hoax".

Looking closely at the image I noticed that, while the building was the right shape, the logo above the door was wrong.  Also, there was another spot on the front where it was supposed to say TEXAS, but actually said TEAS.  And, several of the menu items listed below the image of the building were repeated.

It was an AI generated image.

So, is Maine getting a new Texas Roadhouse location?

Is Texas Roadhouse Opening New Locations in 2026?

According to a recent article on the AOL website, the chain opened about 30 locations in 2025 and they reportedly have plans to open somewhere between 20 and 35 additional locations in 2026.

At this time, however, we only know about a location being built in Cypress, Texas.

Obviously, when we learn more about where these restaurants will open, we'll pass the information along to you.
