What’s Being Built in the Former Uncorked Spot in Augusta, Maine?
If you often drive Civic Center Drive, there is a good chance that you have noticed the sizable construction project going on at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Townsend Road.
For years, a small retail building sat on that corner. Recently, the building had been home to Uncorked, a wine and cheese store. Additionally, a Bitcoin business had been advertised on the building's signage.
Several months ago, that building was demolished and a new construction project was started.
Now, we know what is being built on that spot.
According to fencing on the signage around the construction site, it will soon be home to a new Oxford Federal Credit Union location. While the project appears to be actively being worked on, there is no word on when the new location will open.
