Ever See A Maine Lobsterman Give A Lobster A Little ‘Spa Treatment’? Check Out This Video!
As much as the internet can take you places you don't want to go, and show you things you don't want to see, there are also occasions it give you fascinating things to look at and neat things to learn.
Take, for instance, this morning. I was scrolling online when I came across a post where a lobster was getting a 'spa treatment' so of course I had to check that out.
I was not disappointed!

Local lobsterman/YouTuber Billy Bob Faulkingham put this video up on his YouTube Channel, Lobster Bros, just a little while back, and people have been "eating it up", so to speak.
Faulkingham, now almost 47 years old, says his dad started taking him out on the lobster boat when he was just 3 years old.
"I fish out of Winter Harbor. I’ve lived here my whole life. I’m a 5th-generation fisherman (possibly more). My kids are 6th generation and fish too."
He says this isn't the first video he's shared about the job he's been doing his whole life.
"I’ve been sharing fishing videos for a couple of years, although I have a couple on YouTube that are over 12 years old. I’ve been sharing fishing videos more recently so people can see more of what we do and understand how sustainable we fish and how much we love the ocean and the environment."

Faulkingham says aside from giving folks a peek into the day-to-day, it also gives them a better understanding of what fishermen do.
"Sometimes fishermen get a bad rap, so I think it’s important to let people know about us personally."
He says the response to the videos has been really good and that he enjoys sharing them online.
"I also love YouTube and have a passion for it...I’m getting tens of thousands of views on many of my Facebook Reels, and my YouTube channels are growing every day. The reactions are very positive."
Not only is it a great peek into some of the day-to-day things Maine Lobstermen deal with on a regular basis, but it also explains why, instead of catching and keeping some of the lobsters they come across, they actually protect and, in this case, clean them up.
