10 Items You Should Never, Ever Purchase at a Maine Yard Sale
I have a lot of mixed feelings about yard sales.
I won't say I've never poked around a yard sale. I've even made a few great scores over the years. I once bought a French mandoline for $5. It's a fancy device that slices / juliennes vegetables. The fancy French ones cost around $150, brand new. I was happy to walk away with that one for $5. A deal is a deal, right?

My biggest gripe with yard sales is usually the way people behave around them especially traffic-wise. But that's a story for another day... But my next biggest gripe, are things that have no business being for sale in someone's yard to begin with. I once saw a set of dentures. Like, why? It's not like they'll fit in someone else mouth, sooooo...
Think of all the things you own, that no one else should.
I remember being in a Goodwill or a Salvation Army or something once, and seeing several things I'd never want. Like someone else's undies. I'm sure they've been washed... But if they haven't been cleansed with fire and a shaman delivering sacred blessings, I will not put those on my body.
And really, if I'm not going to buy it from a store, I'm definitely not going to buy it off your lawn. I also love when people try to bring income/location into the conversation. Like this person makes oodles of cash and lives in Bar Harbor, so it must mean everything is perfect and clean. Probably not. Rich people do gross things too.
