Maine Amongst 5 ‘Most Vaccinated’ States in Nation

When it comes to modern medicine, one of the true achievements in the last century have been vaccines that help reduce or eradicate some harmful diseases like measles, smallpox and polio.

However, since the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccines and their safety have become a hot button topic in American culture.

Some states, and lawmakers in them, have used authority to remove vaccine mandates. Other states have chosen to adhere to strong vaccination schedules in hopes of keeping the population safe.

WalletHub has released a study based on the 'most vaccinated' states in the nation. Ironically, all of the top 5 happen to be in New England.

Maine Ranks Number 5 on The 'Most Vaccinated' States List

Using three major factors to determine their list, WalletHub found that Maine ranked fifth overall in vaccinations.

Maine has the fifth-best children and teenagers immunization rank in the country. Maine also has the second-best adult and elderly immunization rank in the nation.

But Maine has slid in the last year of data in one specific category. A change in children aged 0-35 months getting their full immunization schedule. Maine ranked tenth-best in 2024 but has slid to twentieth-best for 2025.

Vermont Ranks as The 'Most Vaccinated' State in America

Vermont has been named the most vaccinated state in the country in WalletHub's recently released study.

Massachusetts ranked second on the list followed by New Hampshire in third and Rhode Island in fourth.

Alabama, Oklahoma and Mississippi ranked as the 'least vaccinated' states in the country for 2025 according to WalletHub's findings.
