My Wish for the Boston Celtics Without Marcus Smart That Bacon Fans Will Love

Hey, Boston Celtics Boss People:  We Want Bacon

Why can't this happen with the Boston Celtics, I ask you?  When the C's traded Marcus Smart, BACON would have helped take the sting out of it.  Did you see this tribute to Marcus on February 4, 2024?  Smart's first return to the Garden, eight months after his shocking trade, and I had tears in my eyes.  I'm such a sap.

Marcus Smart:  "They watched me become a man...."

Just before the game started between the Celtics/Grizzlies, Marcus told the Boston fans that they will always be in his heart.  I don't know about you, but I may have teared up a little when I was watching this.  Refer back to the aforesaid "sap."  Marcus really sounded like he was sincere that Boston will always be his "second home."

Boston Celtics, You Know What Would Have Made It All Better?  Bacon.

Recently, in Men's College Basketball, there was a game between Virginia and Miami, according to ESPN.  It's been a rule in Virginia that if, in the second half of the game, the opponent misses both of their free throws (in this case, it was Miami), it's free bacon for the crowd.  It happened the other night, and the crowd went nuts.  Free bacon for the whole crowd.

It still would have been sad to see Marcus go, but don't you think that when stuff like this happens, as fans of the team, it would have lessened the sting of losing such an amazing player?  On some level, we know that decisions need to be made and they are not always the most popular, but bacon makes everything better.
