One of the hottest sports in the world is Formula 1 racing.  Although it's taken a while to catch on in the United States, it's now as hot as NASCAR in many places in the country.

iRacing has also skyrocketed, especially with the passion of NASCAR fans.  However, F1 fans are growing by huge numbers in this country. So with two F1 arcades already deemed a huge success in London and Birmingham UK, the owners decided to go full throttle in the States, with two new arcades opening soon.

Boston, a world-class city, has always had an interest in racing. 2016 almost saw an IndyCar Grand Prix in the streets of Beantown, but it was cancelled.

New England also has its own NASCAR-sanctioned track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, so there's no lack of race fans in the Northeast.

The exciting news is that F1 is bringing its swagger to the first-ever American F1 arcade set to open in Boston at the end of April.

It's a head-to-head race experience for small teams or large teams.  The F1 Arcade is opening on April 22, according to F1arcade.com.  Pier 4 Blvd in Boston will be transformed in a race fan's dream spot, "with 69 full-motion racing simulators and a 37-foot-long bar in a space that spans 15,500 square feet across two floors," according to a post in USA Today.

You can buy food and drinks at the upscale arcade, but if you want to try the racing simulators (and who wouldn't?), you have to buy a racing package.

Think about the fun you could have for a party with friends, or competing against total strangers.

If you love the thrill of racing, you'll want to set a reminder for April 22 in Boston.

A second US location is scheduled to open in Washington DC this summer. Meanwhile, America has two Formula 1 races to watch, one in Miami in May, and the US Grand Prix in October in Austin, Texas.
