Why am I (and probably you) seeing advertisements for John Cena's OnlyFans page?

Perhaps it is important to get into what an OnlyFans page is.

Yes, I used a Wikipedia article for this explanation, because it is a little out of my scope of knowledge:

OnlyFans is an internet content subscription service based in LondonUnited Kingdom.[3] The service is used primarily by sex workers who produce pornography,[3][4] but it also hosts the work of other content creators, such as physical fitness experts and musicians.[5]

Now why the heck is our guy, West Newbury, Massachusetts' own John Cena, promoting himself on this site?

Well, like every celebrity, it's likely a PR stunt (at least we think).

When visiting John Cena's OnlyFans page, according to an Independent News article, his bio reads:

You’ve found the verified OnlyFans account for Ricky Stanicky; renowned impersonator, philanthropist, investment banker, socialite, cancer survivor and method actor. Subscribe to get SPICY pics and vids.

Ricky Stanicky is the main character, played by John Cena, in an upcoming comedy movie called Ricky Stanicky.

The film, which also stars Zac Efron, follows three childhood pals who create an imaginary friend called Ricky Stanicky, to get them out of trouble. Decades later, the adult trio still use the nonexistent Ricky as a convenient alibi for their immature behaviour and decide to hire a struggling actor, Rod (played by Cena), to pretend to be the “friend” to cover up their fibs.

Well, this movie DOES seem hilarious. And the advertising got me. I will certainly be seeing this movie. If it were not for his PR move, I probably would have gone without seeing it.

Now I'm excited (sorry to disappoint on the NSFW content from John Cena).
