Justin Timberlake Wins Favorite Pop-Rock Male Artist, Favorite Soul/R+B Album + Favorite Soul/R+B Male Artist at 2013 American Music Awards
Congrats to Justin Timberlake! The 'Suit & Tie' singer won Favorite Pop-Rock Male Artist at the 2013 American Music Awards!
Taylor Swift, clad in a gold, sparkly minidress, presented the trophy, looking much like a trophy herself -- and Timberlake took notice!
The flustered star stammered, "Wow, uh, Taylor, you look lovely today." Then he began his actual speech, and in true JT fashion, he was humble, charming and modest -- really!
"These are voted on by the fans, so everyone who took to their Twitter -- I never thought I'd say that in an acceptance speech ever! But everyone who took to their Twitter, it means so much to me!" he grinned. "Thank you!"
When Timberlake took the stage later to accept the Favorite Soul/R+B Male Artist, he was equally adorable. "Oh, shut up," he grinned to the cheering crowd. "I'm extremely humbled ... Can we talk about how cute Rihanna's mom is? 'Of the icon!' Rihanna, I love you, congratulations on that award, you totally deserve it!"
After Sarah Silverman made a hilarious speech introducing Timberlake and Co. for Favorite Soul/R+B Album, he deadpanned, "After growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, this is the first time I've been racially profiled by a white woman ... thank you so much to the fans, you make this all possible."
And you deserve yours, JT!
